Clean Commute Day
Mark your calendars for the 2026 Clean Commute Day! More details to come soon!
Clean Commute Day
Clean Commute Day
Join the City of Durango in celebrating sustainable transportation with the 17th annual Clean Commute Day on June 17! Sustainable transportation is walking, rolling, biking, riding Transit, or carpooling to work or wherever for the day. This year's edition will carry forward the traditions of year's past with some exciting new additions as well!
Similar to this year's Winter Bike to Work Day, we are excited to announce an art competition for this year's schwag and poster design. Click here to view the guidelines, criteria, timeline, and to submit a design or vote on your favorite one! In addition, we will be continuing the traditions of a commuter challenge, morning stations, and an afterparty for the commuters of Durango to celebrate clean commuting in all its glory.
These events rely on community partnerships. If your organization is interested in hosting a station, providing food or drink, providing prizes or schwag, making a donation towards event related expenses, have an idea for an event, or have other ideas on how you would like to partner, feel free to check out the partnership packet and/or complete the form below.

Winter Bike to Work Day
The 15th annual Winter Bike to Work Day was a rousing success on all fronts! We had 15 incredible submissions for our first art competition, hosted over 200 people at morning stations across town, saw 7 participants log over 400 miles of sustainable commuting in the commuter challenge, partnered with 18 different local organizations, and saw over 100 people show up to celebrate the kickoff of the Camino Crossing project at the afterparty! To view all the incredible design submissions, click here.
A massive thank you to all the partners who make this event possible. This year's partners include: the Powerhouse, Carver Brewing, Rupert's, 4CORE, CDOT, the FLC Environmental Center, Durango Natural Foods Co-op, Desert Sun Coffee Roasters, Lola's Place, Durango Tool Library, Cafe Amor, Bike Durango, Durango Cyclery, Pathfinder Chiropractic, Studio & Gallery, Gray Matters, and Durango Trails.
