Winter Bike to Work Day 2026 is scheduled for Friday, February 13. This long-running community event is a chance to celebrate and promote sustainable transportation during the winter. This celebration consists of a weeklong commuter challenge on Way to Go Durango, morning commute stations with refreshments and schwag, an after party, and, new for this year, an art competition to make the design for schwag and posters! This year, in addition to celebrating sustainable commuting, the 2026 afterparty will be dedicated to celebrating the official design kick-off for the Camino Crossing project, which will design an underpass of Camino del Rio near 12th Street. The afterparty will recognize the community effort that has gone into the Camino Crossing project and offer information about the complex layers of design. The Camino Crossing project will be a pillar for sustainable commuting in Durango! This event will take place during the evening of Friday, February 13th.

Join the City of Durango in celebrating sustainable transportation with Clean Commute Day every June! Sustainable transportation is walking, rolling, biking, riding Transit, or carpooling to work or wherever for the day. 2025 celebrations saw 9 stations, a rocking afterparty, a commuter challenge and saw over 500 participants across events!
