Downtown's Next Step 60% Design Meeting

22 October 2025

The City of Durango will host the last community meeting for Downtown’s Next Step and ask for feedback on the proposed materials, furniture, and colors to be used in the final street and sidewalk design.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in rooms 1 & 2 at the Durango Public Library (1900 East 3rd Ave.), where the 60% design will be presented.

The meeting will also go over the changes made and not made, based on community feedback between the 30% and 60% design stages. Free food and interpretation will be available.

“This meeting will be an opportunity to learn about the developments with the design of this project and learn how the community’s feedback has helped shape the design,” said Liam Goettelman, the city’s multimodal specialist. “This is also a chance for the community to provide feedback on the design elements that maintain and enhance the historical character of Downtown Main Ave.”
