About
Residents of neighborhoods east of downtown have expressed an interest in a managed parking program for many years. This is in alignment with recommendations made in the City’s Comprehensive Parking Management Plan adopted in 2022. The city hosted a public meeting to determine whether there is a need for a managed parking program to improve safety and access for residents and guests, and whether there is support for a Neighborhood Parking Program. You can watch the recording of the meeting here, and the polls are below. We will be implementing some of the attainable action items that have been lined out in our Comprehensive Parking Management Plan like signage and sight lines for visibility and safety.
This map shows the average monthly vacancies from the previous month in easy-to-understand colors. Green shows where the average vacancy exceeds 26%, it's highly likely you will find available spaces in that block. Yellow stands for average vacancy of between 25% and 11%. What that means on a Main Avenue block is that the block would average between 2-5 spaces and therefore you are slightly less likely to find a space. Red means 10% or less vacancy and should be avoided so you don’t spend time cruising for a space.
