The City of Durango is wrapping up design revisions to submit the plans to CDOT for final review. Project staff had conversations with Riverbridge Apartment residents, Manna, and Tech Center employees to help determine revisions to existing plans. The project is anticipated to be advertised for construction in winter of 2024.

The Roosa Connect project is a proposed 6-foot sidewalk on the east side of the street from 9th Street to the Riverbridge Apartments, intersection improvements at Avenida Del Sol and El Paso, and bike lanes.

The City received a $948,644 Transportation Alternatives Program grant to complete the project, which will complete 0.82 miles (4,322 feet) of ADA-compliant sidewalks and curb ramps, bringing the sidewalks up to current standards.

Design reached 95% completion by October 12, 2018. This 2016 Design and Engineering Project is being funded by 2015 Half Cent Sales and Use Tax funds.
